Description

This Step is used to execute preconfigured actions in sequence, completing initialization before measurement or inspection.

Usage Scenario

This Step is applicable when multiple initialization operations need to be completed sequentially before measurement or inspection, such as configuring cameras, clearing buffers, setting global variables, or switching parameter recipes.

Workflow

The process of configuring this Step is as follows:

  1. In the Step’s parameter configuration panel, click the Add action button and select the action to execute.

  2. Configure the parameters of each action according to actual needs.

  3. Run the Step and view the execution results.

Input Description

This Step has no input ports.

Parameter Description

In the Step’s parameter configuration panel, click the Add action button and select actions as needed. Up to 10 actions can be added to one Action Sequence Step. After adding multiple actions, drag the icon to the left of an action to adjust the execution order. When the Step runs, the actions are executed sequentially from top to bottom.

For actions that set parameters, the parameters in an action correspond to parameters with the same names in the selected Step. When this Step runs, the parameter values set in the action are synchronized to the corresponding parameters in the selected Step. For details about the parameters and how to adjust them, see the parameter description of the selected Step.

Action Type Action Parameter Description

Camera configuration

Set Exposure Time (2D)

Step Name: Select the Step connected to the target 2D camera.

Exposure Time: Set the exposure time used by the 2D camera to acquire images, in μs.

Set Gain (2D)

Step Name: Select the Step connected to the target 2D camera.

Gain: Set the gain used by the 2D camera to acquire images, in dB.

Clear Buffer (2D)

Step Name: Select the Step connected to the target 2D camera whose buffer is to be cleared.

Set Max Buffered Frames (2D)

Step Name: Select the Step connected to the target 2D camera.

Max Buffered Frames: Set the maximum number of image frames that the camera can buffer.

Enable Data Acquisition Status (Profiler)

Step Name: Select the Step connected to the target 3D laser profiler.

After this action is executed, the Data Acquisition Status switch in the selected Step is enabled.

The Enable Data Acquisition Status action takes effect only when Data Acquisition Trigger Source is set to External or Data Acquisition Method is set to Nonstop.

Disable Data Acquisition Status (Profiler)

Step Name: Select the Step connected to the target 3D laser profiler.

After this action is executed, the Data Acquisition Status switch in the selected Step is disabled.

The Disable Data Acquisition Status action takes effect only when Data Acquisition Trigger Source is set to External or Data Acquisition Method is set to Nonstop.

Clear Buffer (Profiler)

Step Name: Select the Step connected to the target 3D laser profiler whose buffer is to be cleared.

Set Configuration Parameter Group (Profiler)

Step Name: Select the Step connected to the target 3D laser profiler.

Configuration Parameter Group: Select the laser profiler parameter group to apply.

Set Max Buffered Frames (Profiler)

Step Name: Select the Step connected to the target 3D laser profiler.

Max Buffered Frames: Set the maximum number of data frames that the laser profiler can buffer.

The Set Max Buffered Frames action takes effect only when Data Acquisition Trigger Source is set to External or Data Acquisition Method is set to Nonstop.

Global variables

Clear Global Variable Buffer

Variable Name: Select the global variable whose buffer is to be cleared.

Parameter recipe

Switch Parameter Recipe

Project Name: Select the project whose parameter recipe is to be switched.

Recipe Name: Select the parameter recipe to apply.

Output Description

Output Item Description

Overall Execution Result

True indicates that all actions succeeded, and false indicates that at least one action failed.

Action Execution Results

Results follow the configured action order. True indicates that the action succeeded, and false indicates that it failed or was not executed. After an action fails, subsequent actions are not executed.

Troubleshooting

  • For common error codes of all Steps, see Error Code List.
