Mech-MSR supports calibration for a single laser profiler to meet diverse on-site requirements.

Calibration Scenarios

Read the corresponding documentation according to the on-site calibration scenarios.

Performs segmented data acquisition on the calibration target for accurate stitching of multiple scan segments. Suitable for calibration scenarios involving large or elongated objects. Compared with the stitching solutions using multiple laser profilers, stitching calibration of a single device is cheaper, but the cycle time is shorter.

Scans the calibration target to automatically compute the sensor head’s actual mounting tilt angles (direction vectors) for tilt correction. Suitable for scenarios with high accuracy requirements and a controlled environment.

Uses manually measured mounting tilt angles of the sensor head, entered by the user for tilt correction. Suitable for quick on-site calibration.

Establishes the correspondence between surface data coordinate system and machine coordinate system, enabling the machine to achieve accurate positioning and motion guidance based on surface data.
