Mech-MSR supports the Solution Switching Management feature, which can automatically switch solutions based on the received solution ID or communication string. Each solution switching rule defines the mapping between a solution ID or communication string and a solution path. Mech-MSR allows you to configure up to 32 switching rules.

Solution Switching Management supports both standard communication mode and custom communication mode. Note that in custom communication mode, solution switching rules take effect only for custom communication services of the TCP Server and TCP Client types.

Add a Solution Switching Rule

To add a solution switching rule, perform the following steps:

  1. On the software toolbar, select Communication  Solution Switching Management.

  2. In the Solution Switching Management dialog box, click Add switching rule.

    add switching rule
  3. In the newly added rule configuration, specify the Solution path and Communication string parameters.

    • Solution ID: When you add a switching rule, the software automatically generates an ID for the solution specified by the solution path. This parameter takes effect in standard communication mode. When an external device sends the "Switch Mech-MSR solution" command (104) to Mech-MSR through the standard interface, the solution ID in the command must be set to the solution ID shown here.

    • Solution path: Specifies the path of the target solution to switch to.

    • Communication string: Specifies the communication string sent by a custom communication service. This parameter takes effect in custom communication mode. When the custom communication service receives this string from an external device, the software switches the solution. The communication string configured in each switching rule must be unique.

Adjust Solution IDs

If multiple solution switching rules are configured, perform the following steps to adjust solution IDs:

  1. In the switching rule list, drag solutions to adjust their order.

  2. Click Reset IDs to regenerate IDs for each solution based on the current order.

After solution IDs are adjusted, the external device must update the solution ID in the "Switch Mech-MSR solution" command accordingly.
