Privacy Statement
Mech-Mind (“we”) value user privacy. This Privacy Statement explains how we handle information in scenarios such as software licensing, remote technical support, AI assistant, and the documentation center. We commit to complying with applicable data protection laws and to collecting and using information only when necessary and in a transparent manner.
Software Licensing
Your use of the Licensed Software will not lead to Mech-Mind actively collecting any personal information of natural persons in your organization, except: 1) when you or someone in your organization contacts Mech-Mind for customer service or use any other customer support tools, wherein Mech-Mind may collect necessary information such as names, emails, IP addresses or log files in order to provide better customer support; and 2) when you activate, renew or deactivate a license you purchased from Mech-Mind or an authorized reseller, where in Mech-Mind may collect information about your computer equipment, such as a unique device ID, to verify your license. Under the foregoing circumstances, any data collection and processing shall be compliant with applicable data protection regulations.
Remote Technical Support
When you or the personnel within your organization contact us for customer support or use other customer support tools:
We may collect necessary information about your organization’s personnel, such as name, email address, IP address, or log files, to better provide customer support. During remote technical support, with your explicit consent, support engineers may temporarily access your system to diagnose and resolve issues. This access is limited to what is necessary to address the current issue and will end once the issue is resolved. We implement reasonable security safeguards to protect the collected information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
AI Assistant
The AI Assistant is built on the principle of privacy by design:
-
No personal identifiers collected: The AI Assistant does not collect your name, email address, device ID, or other personally identifiable information (PII).
-
Use of chat content: Your conversations with the AI Assistant are used solely to improve answer quality and enhance the user experience. We may analyze chat content to improve the assistant’s accuracy and usefulness.
-
Protection of personal information: If personal information is inadvertently included in chat content, we apply de-identification and other safeguards during processing. We will not use chat content for any purpose other than improving answer quality.
Documentation Center
Our Documentation Center is a publicly accessible static website. You can browse all content without registration or sign-in.
-
Analytics: The Documentation Center uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics—such as page views, session duration, browser type, device type, and approximate geolocation—to understand how the documentation is used and to continuously improve content quality. The related data is processed by Google in accordance with its privacy policy. We do not use this data to identify you personally.
-
Feedback: Documentation pages provide a feedback entry point that opens a feedback form hosted by a third-party service (DingTalk). The form may be prefilled with the current page URL and browser type. Any information you voluntarily submit in the form is processed by that third party under its privacy policy. Some feedback paths may also direct you to the Mech-Mind Community, which is subject to its own privacy policy.
