Function Introduction

Translation/rotation calibration is used to establish the mapping between the image coordinate system and the machine coordinate system. The generated calibration file can be used in scenarios such as 2D locating, correction, and alignment.

Translation/rotation calibration includes the following two calibration methods:

  • Translation calibration: Establishes the translation mapping between the image coordinate system and the machine coordinate system and outputs a transformation matrix.

  • Rotation calibration: Based on translation calibration, establishes the rotation mapping and outputs the rotation center.

Before performing rotation calibration, you must first complete translation calibration and save a valid translation calibration file.

Coordinate System Description

Image coordinate system

A two-dimensional coordinate system established on a 2D image to represent feature positions in the image. The coordinate unit is pixels (px).

Machine coordinate system

A coordinate system defined by the motion axes of the gantry robot to represent the robot’s position and rotation angle. The position coordinates are expressed in millimeters (mm), and the rotation angle is expressed in degrees (°).

Reading Guide

Before performing translation calibration or rotation calibration, complete the related software and hardware configuration.


To establish the translation mapping between the image coordinate system and the machine coordinate system, perform translation calibration.


To establish the rotation mapping between the image coordinate system and the machine coordinate system, perform rotation calibration.


To reacquire calibration data through external communication and update an existing calibration file, configure calibration update.
