Symptom:

During manual calibration, the intrinsic parameter check passes, but the calibration board cannot be detected.

Possible Causes:

  • The calibration board is not within the recommended working distance of the camera.

  • The camera exposure parameters were not set properly.

Solution:

  • Taking the PRO M-GL cameras as an example, the recommended working distance is 1000 mm–2000 mm. It is advised to keep the distance between the calibration board and the camera within this range.

  • Use the “Draw aid circle” feature to facilitate the check on camera intrinsic parameters.

  • Before calibration, you can use Mech-Eye Viewer to adjust the camera exposure parameters to ensure proper exposure of the 2D image. The calibration circles on the calibration board should not be overly bright or dark, and the cross in the center of the calibration circles should be clearly visible. Ensure that the point cloud of the calibration board is complete and the calibration circles in the point cloud are clearly visible.
