Before You Upgrade
2.2.0 Upgrade Notes
General Notes
Mech-Vision & Mech-Viz 2.2.0 is forward-compatible with Mech-Vision & Mech-Viz 2.0.0~2.1.2. Mech-Vision & Mech-Viz can be directly upgraded from 2.0.0~2.1.2 to 2.2.0, and solutions created in the previous version can function normally.
However, please pay attention to the following issues:
-
Since Mech-Vision & Mech-Viz 2.0.0, Mech-Mind uses Sentinel LDK as the software license system. Related precautions are as follows.
-
Previous software licenses cannot be used to open Mech-Vision & Mech-Viz 2.2.0 software. You need to contact Mech-Mind technical support to obtain a Sentinel LDK software license.
-
After using the new software license, you will not be able to open Mech-Vision & Mech-Viz versions 1.8.3 and earlier.
-
The software license restricts the usage region of the product. If you obtained a license for mainland China, you are only authorized to use the licensed product in mainland China. Use in other regions will not be covered by warranty, and the display language will only support Chinese.
-
-
Mech-Vision & Mech-Viz 2.2.0 is not compatible with versions earlier than Mech-Vision & Mech-Viz 2.0.0. If you need to upgrade, please back up your data before upgrading to version 2.2.0.
After the upgrade, please refer to 2.0.0 Project Migration Guide to upgrade the Mech-Vision solutions and Mech-Viz projects created in earlier versions.
Mech-Vision 2.2.0 Upgrade Notes
Please pay attention to the following issues when upgrading Mech-Vision from an earlier version to 2.2.0.
-
The following features in Mech-Vision 2.2.0 require additional software licenses. Please contact Mech-Mind Sales to obtain the corresponding software licenses for these features. Otherwise, you will not be able to use the corresponding features.
-
Before upgrading, back up target objects created in the target object editor of the old version to avoid data loss after the upgrade.
-
Starting from Mech-Vision 2.2.0, the Deep Learning Model Package Inference Step only supports loading model packages exported from Mech-DLK 2.5.4 or later.
-
The "Generate Target Object Picking Strategy" Step has been renamed to "Acquire Target Object Information" and no longer supports generating target object picking strategies.
-
When the output type of the Output Step is set to "Custom", collision detection settings are no longer supported.
-
Starting from Mech-Vision 2.2.0, the "2D Camera" Step is no longer maintained. If a solution created in an earlier version contains the "2D Camera" Step, it is recommended not to upgrade the software.
-
Mech-Vision 2.2.0 optimized the Step library and removed some Steps. See the following for details.

When using the Adapter Program Generator to obtain robot names from Mech-Viz, it is no longer necessary to set the Mech-Viz project to auto-load.
-
Mech-Vision 2.2.0 adjusted the names of port data types and the data dimensions of basic data types themselves.
Mech-Viz 2.2.0 Upgrade Notes
Please pay attention to the following issues when upgrading Mech-Viz from an earlier version to 2.2.0.
-
Saving solutions to system disk folders or desktop is no longer supported.
-
When using the "Preset Stack Pattern" Step to generate windmill stacks, setting the number of rows for windmill stacks is no longer supported.
-
The "All Vision Poses in One Move" feature is no longer supported in the "Vision Result Global Usage" of the Vision Move Step. It is recommended to use the new Vision Move (Trajectory) Step to implement related functionality.
-
Importing robot models with the same name is no longer supported. If you need to import such a model, please delete the original model or rename the model to be imported and try again.
-
The "Collision Avoidance" feature is no longer supported in "Trigger at Fixed Point" and "Relative Move" Steps.

-
The output parameters of each MM program in ABB, FANUC, KAWASAKI, and KUKA sample programs now include status codes, with abnormal status determined in the sample programs. If you reflash the robot program, you need to synchronize and modify the foreground program previously written on the robot side to adapt to this change. Otherwise, errors may occur.
