The pallet editor is used to edit the customized pallet pattern in the Custom Pallet Pattern Step. You can click Pallet Editor in the lower left corner of the parameter panel of the Custom Pallet Pattern Step to open the tool.

Preparation

Before editing the pallet pattern, please ensure that you have the following information based on the on-site situation.

  • Length and width of the pallet tray

  • Number of layers

  • Layer height

  • Layout of each layer

  • Length and width of the carton

Edit Pallet

You will need to edit the Layer Layouts and Pallet Layers to complete editing a pallet.

Click File  Load From File to open the existing pallet configuration file.

Layer Layouts

You will need to set the pallet size, the number of layer layouts, and object positions in the Layer Layouts panel.

  1. Set the Pallet Length and Pallet Width. They are the length and width of the pallet tray respectively.

  2. Click Add Position to add cartons. You can drag the carton to adjust the positions.

  3. In the Position Setting panel, set the size of the carton, rotational angle, and entry angle.

  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to complete the editing of the current layer layout.

  5. If you want to add multiple layer layouts, click Add Layer Layout.

Pallet Layers

You will need to set the number of layers, layer height, and layer layout for each layer in the Pallet Layers panel.

  1. Click Add Layer until the number of layers meets the requirement.

  2. Select a layer and enter the corresponding Layer Height to set the height of the current layer.

  3. Select a layer layout in the drop-down list of Change Layout for the current layer.

  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to complete the editing of all pallet layers.

Save and Use

Select File  Save (Ctrl + S) to save the pallet configuration, and the pallet pattern will be displayed in the 3D simulation area of the software.

Select File  Save to File and specify a directory to save the configuration file in JSON format. In the parameter panel of the Custom Pallet Pattern Step, click Load Pattern to select the pallet configuration file and therefore load the pallet pattern.
