After the drift correction feature is deployed, it can be applied to the production to correct the accuracy drift in the vision system.

During the production process, the robot program can be run automatically or manually based on the designated collection frequency to trigger the calibration sphere pose collection and capture the calibration sphere poses. For projects with high precision requirements for the vision system, it is recommended to collect the calibration sphere poses once per day. A higher collection frequency can provide more real-time correction for accuracy drift in the vision system.

If the accuracy drift occurs periodically in the vision system before the drift correction feature is deployed, leading to production anomalies with a cycle of k days, the collection cycle should be shorter than k days (recommended as k/2 days). This ensures that drift correction is performed before anomalies arise, preventing issues and maintaining stable production.

  • The camera should be warmed up before image acquisition. If the new camera is in a cold-start state, its intrinsic parameter accuracy may change due to temperature increases during image acquisition. Therefore, the camera should be warmed up in advance. Please refer to Warm Up for detailed instructions.

  • During production, daily maintenance of the calibration sphere(s) is also required. For details, refer to Calibration Sphere Maintenance.
