Mech-Vision Cannot Capture Images Using the Camera That Can Be Found by Mech-Eye SDK

Symptom:

The camera could be found by the Mech-Eye SDK software, but it could be used by Mech-Vision to capture images.

Affected Software Versions:

All Mech-Vision versions

Possible Causes:

  • Mech-Vision could not connect to the camera.

  • Errors occurred when the Mech-Vision project was running.

  • Mech-Vision was shutdown suddenly.

Solution:

Follow these steps to fix the issue:

  1. Start Mech-Vision and open the project.

  2. Check “Step Capture Images from Camera” by clicking Select Camera to open the Choose the camera and the parameter group to use window. Select the camera and connect to it.

    • If the camera cannot be connected, proceed to step 3.

    • If the camera can be connected, proceed to step 4.

  3. Change the IP address of the camera to an IP address in the same subnet as that of the IPC Ethernet port connecting to the camera and make sure there are no IP conflicts.

    1. Move the cursor to the camera to be connected and check the camera’s IP address.

    2. To change the IP address of the camera or the IPC, refer to the section Set IP address.

  4. Click Run to execute the project to make sure that this issue is fixed.
