Mech-Metrics 1.3.0 Release Notes
This topic introduces the release notes for Mech-Metrics 1.3.0.
This version is the first official release of Mech-Metrics for Inline Measurement for Large Parts.
Provides Inline Measurement Solutions for Large Parts
Together with Mech-MSR, Mech-Metrics provides a complete inline measurement loop from measurement execution to result management, suitable for large-part scenarios such as subframes.
The main capabilities are as follows:
-
Mech-MSR executes measurement projects and outputs measurement results. Mech-Metrics receives results, manages parts and features, and supports evaluation and traceability.
-
Both part-based and fixture-based alignment are supported to meet reference frame requirements in different on-site scenarios.
-
Supports a repeatability testing process for verifying stability and consistency of the inline measurement system under continuous operating conditions.
-
Supports correlation compensation to improve consistency between measurement results and offline reference data.
-
Supports thermal drift compensation for inline measurement to reduce long-term result drift and improve long-term system stability.
-
Supports comprehensive data analysis functions, including SPC analysis, Pareto chart analysis, trend chart analysis, and raw data viewing, to facilitate quality analysis and issue tracing.
-
Provides a standard communication interface that enables integration with robot systems and external devices (such as PLCs), and supports a complete workflow of "trigger measurement → execute measurement → return results → display and evaluation".
| Mech-Metrics 1.3.0 must be used together with Mech-MSR 2.2.0 or above to ensure normal operation of inline measurement applications. |
Mech-Metrics Core Functions
Mech-Metrics 1.3.0 provides the following core functions:
-
Part and feature configuration: supports creating parts, configuring features and control items, and organizing inline measurement data structures. For details, refer to Create Mech-Metrics Project and Create and Modify Features.
-
Alignment management: supports part-based and fixture-based alignment to meet reference frame requirements in different on-site scenarios. For details, refer to Alignment Guide, RPS Alignment, and Best Fit Alignment.
-
Production management: views measurement results and trends on the production interface, supports operations such as report export, and ensures a closed loop in inline measurement applications. For details, refer to Production Interface Overview and Use Production Interface.
-
Repeatability testing and correlation compensation: supports repeatability testing and correlation compensation to help optimize measurement process capability. For details, refer to Test Repeatability and Analyze the Correlation and Perform Correlation Compensation.
-
Thermal drift compensation analysis: monitors compensation effects together with deployment of the Mech-MSR thermal drift compensation solution for the inline measurement system. For details, refer to Thermal Drift Compensation Solution and Perform Thermal Drift Compensation Analysis.
-
Historical data and traceability: queries historical measurement data by conditions. SPC analysis, Pareto chart analysis, trend chart analysis, and raw data viewing are also supported for quality analysis and issue traceability. For details, refer to Analyze Historical Data, Perform SPC Analysis, View Pareto Chart, View Trends Charts, and View Raw Data.
-
Report management: supports custom report content and format. Measurement reports can be generated, exported, and uploaded to facilitate archiving of process records and results. For details, refer to Use Measurement Reports.
