Full/Partial Inspection Editor

This section describes how to use the full/partial inspection editor. The full/partial inspection editor is an advanced feature intended for users with professional measurement knowledge.

Quality inspection mode

Quality inspection mode refers to the detection range strategy used by the system during measurement tasks. It is used to control the range of measurement items that need to be involved in measurement and judgment in the current task. The Mech-Metrics supports two quality inspection modes: Full inspection and Half inspection. You can switch between them according to the takt time and quality control requirements.

Full inspection

Full inspection refers to the measurement and judgment of all measurement items configured on the current part. The full inspection is applicable to scenarios such as first-piece confirmation, model change verification, anomaly tracing, and periodic comprehensive inspections.

Partial inspection

Partial inspection refers to the measurement and judgment of only predefined key measurement items. Partial inspection is suitable for high-frequency process monitoring during the mass production phase. It can ensure that key quality characteristics are controlled while reducing the time required for single-piece inspection.

If needed, you can use the full/partial inspection editor to set the inspection mode of each measurement item to either full or partial inspection. Under normal circumstances, full dimensional measurement can be performed on parts at a specified frequency, while key dimensional measurement is applied to the remaining parts.

If this is not required, the full/partial inspection editor can be left unconfigured, and the existing inspection settings of the project will be used. The following explains how to use the full/partial inspection editor.

  1. In the upper ribbon of the Configuration interface of the software, select Tools  Full/Partial Inspection Editor.

  2. In the Full/Partial Inspection Editor dialog box, select Full inspection or Partial inspection for each measurement item.

    full partial control

If you do not configure the editor, full inspection is checked for all measurement items by default. In this case, all dimensions of the items will be measured.
