Determine Whether the STEP/STP File Is Eligible

If any one of the following requirements of the STEP/STP file is not met, the model cannot be loaded successfully.

  • The STEP/STP file is an ASCII file.

  • The format of the STEP/STP file is defined by ISO 10303-21, and “ISO 10303-21” is on the first line of the file.

  • Except for the marker on the first line, the HEADER and DATA sections are used to describe the information and data in the file respectively.

In addition, if the STEP/STP file is displayed in the garbled code after being opened, the file may be encrypted and you will need to contact the person who provided the file to decrypt it.
