KUKA Error Messages
The following errors may occur while running the Standard Interface program on the robot.
Socket Connection Timeout
“ROBOT_SOCKET_TIMEOUT”

Description: MM_Flag_Recv is called to check data reception. This error is reported if no data are received within the specified wait time.

Troubleshooting:

Check if the order of calling EKI_Send and MM_Flag_Recv is correct.

Check if the Standard Interface service (TCP HEX) is started in Mech-Vision.

Check if the wait time input through the MM_Flag_Recv command is too short.

Communication Connection Error
“ROBOT_SOCKET_CLOSED”

Description: MM_Flag_Alive detects that communication can not be established within the specified wait time.

Troubleshooting:

Check if the hardware is properly connected.

Check if the Standard Interface service (TCP HEX) is started in Mech-Vision.
-
Check the IP addresses of the robot and the IPC, and if the port number is configured correctly.

Check if the firewall is turned off on the IPC.

Procedure Argument Error
“ROBOT ARGUMENT ERROR”

Description: When calling a Standard Interface procedure, arguments provided are not correct.

Troubleshooting: Please refer to KUKA Standard Interface Subprograms and input the correct arguments accordingly.
Invalid Interface Command
“ROBOT_CMD_ERROR”

Description: The command code returned to the robot does not match the one sent to Mech-Vision.

Troubleshooting: The sequence of command sending and receiving is problematic. Please contact Mech-Mind Technical Support for further assistance.
Status Code Error
10XX / 20XX /30XX /40XX /50XX /70XX /90XX

Description: An invalid status code is in the received data for the interface command called by the program. Please check the log messages in the Console tab of Mech-Vision Log panel.
