Camera Cannot Be Found by Automatic Search

Symptom

In the Add Camera window, the camera cannot be found by automatic search.

Possible Causes

  • The camera and IPC are not in the same subnet.

  • The camera is not powered on, or the Ethernet cable is not connected.

  • The camera is occupied by other software.

Solution

  • Check whether the camera IP and IPC IP are in the same subnet, and adjust network settings if needed.

  • Confirm that the camera is powered on, and check whether Ethernet cable connections are reliable.

  • Close other software that may occupy the camera, and search again after the camera is idle.
