How to Interpret the Camera Model Code?

The camera label is printed with a model code. Through this code, you can quickly identify key information of the current 2D camera, including series, pixel specification, color type, lens specification, focus method, whether a light source is included, and sales region.

AIC-Lite 2D Smart camera model codes usually follow the structure below:

The meaning of each segment is as follows.

Segment 1: Product Type

AIC indicates an AIC camera.

Segment 2: Product Series

Lite indicates the Lite series.

Segment 3: Pixel Specification

Segment 3 indicates the camera pixel specification:

Take AIC-Lite-016-M-07-M-W-GL as an example:

  • AIC: AIC camera

  • Lite: Lite series

  • 016: 1.6 MP

  • M: Monochrome camera

  • 07: 6.72 mm lens

  • M: Manual focus

  • W: White light source

  • GL: Sales region is overseas (except Japan) and Taiwan, China

By reading the model code, you can quickly confirm the camera’s baseline configuration, which helps with model selection, deployment, and after-sales support communication.
