LSR L (V4) and DEEP (V4): Improved the Speed of Reflective Fringe Coding Mode

After the firmware of the LSR L (V4) and DEEP (V4) series is upgraded to 2.3.2, when acquiring data with the Fringe Coding Mode parameter set to Reflective, the acquisition time is shortened:

  • LSR L: The acquisition time of depth data is reduced from about 5 s to 2.4–2.8 s, improved by at most 50%.

The about data was obtained with the Exposure Time parameter in the 3D Parameters category set to 28 ms and 32 ms.
  • DEEP:

    • When the depth map resolution is 2048 × 1536, the acquisition time of depth data is reduced from about 5 s to 2.5 s, improved by at most 50%.

    • When the depth map resolution is 1024 × 768, the acquisition time of depth data is reduced from about 2.8 s to 2.1 s, improved by at most 30%.

The about data was obtained with the Exposure Time parameter in the 3D Parameters category set to 28 ms.
After the camera firmware is upgraded to 2.3.2, the quality of the depth data may change.

In addition, the Stripe Contrast Threshold parameter can now be adjusted when the Reflective option is used.

Resolved Issues

The following issues have been resolved in Mech-Eye SDK 2.3.2:

  • Virtual devices could not be connected on a computer without Ethernet interface cards.

  • With a resolution of 1980 × 1080 and scaling of 125%, The software interface could not be fully displayed on the screen when the restore button was clicked after the software interface had been maximized.

  • NANO (V4) and Nano (V3): The cuboid automatically created by Full Pallet Simulator exceeded the range of the view cones.

  • The depth map of the first acquisition could not be displayed if the Depth Range parameter was adjusted, the Color option in the left panel of the depth map/point cloud display was changed, the positions of the slider handles were adjusted, or the depth values to the right of the slider were changed before data acquisition.

Resolved Issues

The following issues have been resolved in Mech-Eye SDK 2.3.2:

  • The IP address and gateway configuration in the configure_camera_ip_address sample did not match, resulting in an error with the 0x0505 code recorded in the camera log after the sample was run.
