FOV Calculator
This tool helps determine the mounting height of the camera based on your needs for the camera’s field of view (FOV). Based on the entered working distance, this tool calculates the FOV length and width for the camera at this distance.
The calculation result is for reference only.
Calculate Camera FOV
Please follow these steps to calculate the FOV of the camera:
-
Click Tools in the menu bar, and select FOV Calculator to open the online FOV Calculator.
-
Select the camera model under Select camera model.
-
Enter the working distance in the Enter working distance field. The FOV length and FOV width are calculated based on the entered working distance. If the calculated FOV does not meet your needs, proceed to the next step.
-
For the working distances of different camera models, refer to Working Distance.
-
If the entered value is not within the working distance of the selected model, it will be automatically adjusted.
-
-
Click the arrow button next to the text box to adjust the working distance until the calculation result of the FOV meets requirements. Use this working distance to estimate the appropriate mounting height of the camera.
