This section introduces how to execute different picking strategies based on different pick point labels.

Application Scenario

Applicable to scenarios where different picking strategies are executed in the Mech-Viz project based on different pick point labels output by Mech-Vision.

Operation Guide

Execute Different Picking Strategies Based on Pick Point Labels in the Target Object Editor

  1. Set the numeric label of the pick point in the target object editor.

Set different labels for pick points in the pick point list of the target object editor.

1 set pick point num label
  2. Set the parameters of the Output Step in Mech-Vision.

    Parameter Parameter value

    Port Type

    Predefined (vision result)

    Select Scenario

    Matching

  3. Configure the Classify Step in Mech-Viz.

    1. Set the parameters of the “Classify” Step.

      Parameter Parameter value

      Select Branch By

      Pick point label

    2. Add labels to the “Classify” Step.

Please note that the labels added here should be consistent with the pick point labels set in the target object editor.

1 set pick point num label viz
  4. Use Mech-Viz to execute different picking strategies.

Run the Mech-Viz project to execute different picking strategies based on the pick point labels.

    run viz project

Execute Different Picking Strategies Based on Custom Pick Point Labels in the Mech-Vision Project

When the pick point labels in the target object editor cannot achieve the desired classification result, you can also customize the labels by using a Mech-Vision project, and then use the customized labels in the Mech-Viz to execute different picking strategies.

This section demonstrates how to execute different picking strategies using custom pick point labels, which are determined by the angle between the pose and the reference direction.

  1. Set the parameters of the Output Step in Mech-Vision.

To receive the custom pick point label, select “Other Inputs” to add a “Pick Point Labels” input port to the “Output” Step.

  2. Generate custom labels in Mech-Vision.

Create a Procedure according to the following procedure. Then generate custom pick point labels based on the angle between the target object and the reference direction (for example, set the pick point labels to 1 and 2), and input them to the “Pick Point Labels” input port of the “Output” Step.

2 add label for pose process

The created Procedure is shown below.

2 add label for pose project
  3. Configure the Classify Step in Mech-Viz.

    1. Set the parameters of the “Classify” Step.

      Parameter Parameter value

      Select Branch By

      Pick point label

    2. Add labels to the “Classify” Step.

Please note that the labels added here should be consistent with the custom pick point labels used in the Mech-Vision project.

1 set pick point num label viz
  4. Use Mech-Viz to execute different picking strategies.

Run the Mech-Viz project to execute different picking strategies based on the pick point labels.

    run viz project
