How to Read Camera Serial Number?

The camera serial number (SN) is printed on the label attached to the camera. It is the unique identification number of each camera.

The serial number has 16 characters, and it contains information such as the camera model, 2D camera type, object focal distance, and production date.

  1. The 1st and 2nd characters represent the camera model:

  2. The 3rd character represents the type of the 2D camera(s) inside the product:

  3. The 4th and 5th characters represent the object focal distance of the camera:

  4. The 6th and 7th characters represent the camera production year: For example, “23” represents that the production year is 2023.

  5. The 8th character represents the camera production month:

  6. The 9th and 10th characters are the camera hardware version.

  7. The 11th to 16th characters are the production code of the camera.
