Camera Displayed as Virtual Device in Mech-Eye Viewer

Symptom

In Mech-Eye Viewer, the camera to be connected can be discovered, but this camera is displayed as a virtual device (the info card displaying Virtual).

Possible Causes

The camera’s internal system is malfunctioning.

Solution

Please follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. In Mech-Eye Viewer, find and double-click the info card of the camera to open the Log window. Save a screenshot of the log or export the log.

  2. Restart the camera: Disconnect the camera from power and then reconnect it to power. Then, check the info card of this camera in Mech-Eye Viewer.

    • If it no longer displays Virtual, the troubleshooting is completed.

    • If it still displays Virtual, please contact Technical Support and provide the log.
