Description

This Step is used to crop surface data based on feature regions, keeping the data inside or outside the feature regions.

Usage Scenario

This Step is applicable when you need to retain a target region or exclude an interfering region from surface data. Defining the cropping range with feature regions can reduce the impact of irrelevant data on subsequent measurement, fitting, and analysis.

Workflow

The process of configuring this Step is as follows:

  1. Configure the input. Connect the corresponding Step port in the graphical programming workspace, or select the corresponding input under Input in the parameter configuration panel.

  2. Select Feature Region Mode to determine whether to use surface data inside or outside the feature regions.

  3. Set other parameters under Parameters.

  4. Under Output, select the Surface Data output item (selected by default).

  5. Run the Step and view output.

Surface Data

Surface data to be cropped.

Alignment Parameter Group

Optional input. When this input is provided, the pose of the feature regions is adjusted according to the pose transformation of the target object.

Feature Region Mode

Selects whether to keep the surface data inside or outside the feature regions during cropping.

Feature Region

Add feature regions used to crop surface data. One or more feature regions can be added, and multiple feature regions are combined as a union.

This Step allows you to define each feature region with a 6-DoF pose by adjusting the X, Y, and Z coordinates of its center point and its rotation angles about the X, Y, and Z axes.

Output Description

The output of this Step is surface data cropped based on the feature regions, which can be used as input to other Steps.
