The IPC Cannot Be Powered on but Emits a Continuous Alarm Sound

Symptom:

The IPC cannot be powered on but emits a continuous alarm sound.

Possible Cause:

There is an issue with the RAM.

Solution:

Please address the issue by the following steps:

  1. Check if the RAM is securely connected to the mainboard.

  2. Check if the pins of the RAM are contaminated.

  3. Use an eraser to clean the pins of the RAM and then perform a test.

  4. Move the RAM to a different memory slot.

  5. Replace the RAM with one of the same specifications and test again.

After Debugging, the IPC Cannot Be Powered on

Symptom:

After debugging the project, the IPC cannot be powered On.

Solution:

Please address the issue by the following steps:

  1. Check if the mainboard and power cables are securely connected.

  2. Check if the CPU and memory are firmly connected to the mainboard.

  3. Check if there are any physical damage in the hardware components of the IPC.

The IPC Cannot Be Powered On, and the Screen Indicates That No Hard Disk Is Detected

Symptom:

During BIOS detection of CPU and memory, the screen displays “Detecting IDE drives...” for more than 30 seconds, whereas the normal duration is about 5 seconds. Then a message indicates no hard drive detected, and the IPC cannot access the operating system.

Possible Cause:

There is a fault with the hard disk.

Solution:

Please address the issue by the following steps:

  1. Check if the hard disk is approaching the end of its service life. If a hard disk has been used for an extended period, it may become unstable.

  2. Check if there are any bad sectors in the hard drive.

  3. Check if replacing the hard drive in the IPC can resolve the above-mentioned issues.

  4. When the hard drive can access the operating system, it is recommended to back up important data to avoid potential data loss issues due to the hard drive failure.

The IPC Automatically Restarts While Running Application Software

Symptom:

The IPC automatically restarts while running an application software.

Solution:

Please address the issue by the following steps:

  1. Check if there are conflicts between the application software programs and the operating system startup files.

  2. It is recommended to uninstall the application software, restart the IPC and then reinstall the software.

  3. Format the system drive and then reinstall both the operating system and the application software.

Insufficient Space on the IPC

Symptom:

An error message indicating that there was insufficient space appeared after the IPC ran for a while.

Solution:

  1. Check the current space (e.g., C drive and D drive) on your IPC, and clear the unneeded files regularly, such as those on the desktop, logs, and image storage.

  2. Redistribute disk space.

Blue Screen Errors Occurred and Can Be Resolved after an IPC Restart

Symptom:

The blue screen appeared frequently when the IPC was running, and the problem could be resolved after the IPC was restarted.

Possible Cause:

Windows operating system was malfunctioning.

Solution:

Please follow the steps below to re-install the operating system:

  1. Please go to “Production Interface→ Maintenance → Backup management”, create a backup of the current solution, and copy it to your storage medium.

  2. Re-install the operating system.

  3. Restore the software and project with the backup file.

When the IPC Is Powered On, the Monitor Does Not Display

Symptom:

After the IPC is powered on, the monitor does not display any content.

Solution:

Please check the connections of the monitor’s power supply and HDMI cable:

  • If the power supply or HDMI cable is not properly connected, please reconnect it.

  • If the connections are normal, please contact Technical Support.

Intermittent Black or Distorted Screen Followed by a Restart

Symptom:

The IPC experiences intermittent black or distorted screen followed by a restart.

Solution:

Please address the issue by the following steps:

  • Make sure that the graphics card is securely connected to the mainboard.

  • Check if the pins of the graphics card are contaminated.

  • Use an eraser to clean the pins of the graphics card and then perform a test.

  • Replace the graphics card with one of the same specifications and test again.

The IPC Functions Normally but Experiences Slowdowns or Crashes

Symptom:

After running for a certain period, the IPC experiences slowdowns or crashes in application software.

Solution:

Please address the issue by the following steps:

  • Check if the chassis, CPU, and power supply fans are operating normally.

  • Check if the hard drive where the application software is located has any bad sectors.

  • Check if there are any quality issues with the RAM.

  • If all the above checks are normal but the issue persists, please contact Technical Support.

The IPC Is Powered on Slowly

Symptom:

The IPC is powered on slowly.

Solution:

Please follow the steps below to re-install the operating system:

  1. Please go to “Production Interface→ Maintenance → Backup management”, create a backup of the current solution, and copy it to your storage medium.

  2. Re-install the operating system.

  3. Restore the software and project with the backup file.

Unable to Update IPC System Software or Enable Windows Features

Symptom:

Unable to update IPC system software or enable Windows features.

Solution:

Please address the issue by the following steps:

  1. First, check if the system update function is disabled.

  2. If disabled, use the software Windows Update Blocker to enable system updates. Once the updates are complete, remember to disable the system update function to avoid automatic restarts of IPC along with the automatic system updates.

The IPC Cannot Open Software Due to an Unexpected Power Outage

Symptom:

The IPC cannot open software due to an unexpected power outage.

Solution:

Please address the issue by the following steps:

  1. Restore software with the backup file.

  2. Upgrade software.
