Exposure Assistant

This tool is used for obtaining the recommended values for the Exposure Multiplier and Exposure Time parameters in the 3D Parameters category.

Follow these steps to obtain the recommended values for the Exposure Multiplier and Exposure Time parameters:

  1. Double-click Auto Set to the right of 3D Parameters in the parameter panel, or click Tools  Exposure Assistant, to open Exposure Assistant.

  2. In the Point Cloud Scanning page, click Scan Once in the lower right to acquire data, and then click Next Step after the data is successfully acquired.

  3. In the Set ROI page, adjust the ROI, and try to ensure that only one target object is included in the ROI. Drag the selection box to move it. Drag the handles on the box to adjust the box size. Then, click Next Step to apply the ROI.

  4. In the Auto Exposure page, click Start to start calculating the parameter values. The calculated exposure times are displayed in Result.

  5. Click Finish, and a Confirm window will pop up. If you want to apply the calculation result directly to the 3D Parameters category, click Yes in the pop-up window.
