Software License
Starting from version 2.1.0, Mech-Mind uses Sentinel LDK as its software license system. This license system supports the hardware license (HL) and software license (SL) encryption methods, and provides the permanent and temporary licenses.
Mech-Mind will determine the appropriate encryption method and assign a validity period based on your actual needs.

The following sections introduce how to obtain and manage software licenses, as well as troubleshoot common licensing issues.
Obtain Software Licenses

If you need to use an SL key, please contact Mech-Mind sales team to obtain a product key. Mech-Mind will send the product key to you via email, as shown below. The email will also include a link to the Entitlement Management System for activating and updating the license.

If you need to use an HL key, please contact Mech-Mind sales team. Mech-Mind will deliver the HL key either with the product, by mail, or through on-site delivery. The license in the HL key is activated before delivery. To use the HL key, plug it into the USB port of the IPC.

Manage Software Licenses
You can refer to the following instructions for further operations.

If you are using Sentinel LDK for the first time, you must activate the license.
-
If your temporary license is expired or you need to change the authorized software, you must update the license.
After you perform license activation or update, you can check the license to confirm whether the license is activated or updated.
Activate the License
The license in the HL key is activated before delivery and is ready for use. If you cannot use the HL key, refer to The Delivered HL Key Cannot Be Used Directly for troubleshooting methods.
If you are using an SL key, you must activate the license by using the product key that is sent to you. Perform the following steps to activate the license:

Log on to the Entitlement Management System.
Go to Entitlement Management System, enter the product key, and click Log in.

Activate the license online.
On the page that appears, click Online Activation in the upper right corner. The license is now activated.
If you are unable to connect to the Internet, you can activate the license offline. Perform the following steps to activate the license offline:

Open the ACC page.
Open the Sentinel Admin Control Center (ACC) page.

Generate the fingerprint file.
In the Actions column corresponding to the Sentinel key, click the Fingerprint button to generate the fingerprint file.
Before you click the button, ensure that the corresponding vendor ID is 31772.

Obtain the V2C or V2CP file.
Send the generated fingerprint file to Mech-Mind, and obtain the V2C or V2CP file returned by Mech-Mind.

Activate the license offline.
In the left-side navigation pane of the ACC page, choose Update/Attach. On the page that appears, click Select File, and select the V2C or V2CP file returned by Mech-Mind. Then, click Apply File. The license is now activated.

Fingerprint file: The file that you send to Mech-Mind sales team. This file contains information about the IPC.

Vendor to Customer (V2C) file: The file that Mech-Mind sales team returns to you. This file contains information about the license provided to you.

V2CP file: A package containing multiple V2C files.

Update the License
If your temporary license is expired or you need to change the authorized software, you must update the license.

Update the License for SL Keys
Perform the following steps to update the license:

Contact Mech-Mind sales team to request a license update. Mech-Mind will update the backend data.

Go to Entitlement Management System, switch to the License Update tab, and click Update Licenses. The license is now updated.
If you are unable to connect to the Internet, you can update the license offline by using the V2C or V2CP file. Perform the following steps:

Open the ACC page.
Open the Sentinel Admin Control Center (ACC) page.

Generate the C2V file.
In the Actions column corresponding to the Sentinel key, click the C2V button to generate the C2V file.

Obtain the V2C or V2CP file.
Send the generated C2V file to Mech-Mind, and obtain the V2C or V2CP file returned by Mech-Mind.

Update the license offline.
In the left-side navigation pane of the ACC page, choose Update/Attach. On the page that appears, click Select File, and select the V2C or V2CP file returned by Mech-Mind. Then, click Apply File. The license is now updated.

Customer to Vendor (C2V) file: The file that you send to Mech-Mind sales team. This file contains information about the SL keys.

Vendor to Customer (V2C) file: The file that Mech-Mind sales team returns to you. This file contains information about the license provided to you.

V2CP file: A package containing multiple V2C files.

Update the License for HL Keys
Perform the following steps to update the license:

Contact Mech-Mind sales team to request a license update. Mech-Mind will update the backend data.

Go to Entitlement Management System, switch to the License Update tab, and click Update Licenses. The license is now updated.
If you are unable to connect to the Internet, you can update the license offline by using the V2C or V2CP file. Perform the following steps to activate the license offline:

In the left-side navigation pane of the ACC page, choose Update/Attach. On the page that appears, click Select File, and select the V2C or V2CP file returned by Mech-Mind. Then, click Apply File. The license is now updated.
Check the License
After you perform license activation or update, you can check the license on the Sentinel Admin Control Center (ACC) page or in the software.

Check the license on the ACC page.

Log on to the ACC page.

In the left-side navigation pane of the ACC page, choose Features, and view the authorized products and their expiration dates.

Check the license in Mech-DLK.
In the main interface of Mech-DLK, click
in the menu bar, and you can check the expiration date in the pop-up “About” window to see whether the license is updated successfully.If the license is updated, the check is complete. If the license update fails, update the license again. If the license is still not updated, contact Mech-Mind.
Troubleshoot Common Issues
Error Occurs When Opening Software

Symptom
After you open the encrypted software, an error message “Sentinel key not found (H0007)” or “Feature not found (H0031)” appears in the pop-up window.

Possible Cause
The software license is either not obtained (H0007) or has encountered an error (H0031).

Solution
Contact Mech-Mind to obtain the software license and activate it.
Failed to Open the ACC Page

Symptom
You cannot open the ACC page.
-
Possible Causes
-
The Sentinel LDK encryption driver is not installed.
-
The Sentinel LDK-EMS Service for the ACC page is not started.
-

Solution
-
Download and install the Sentinel LDK encryption driver again. After installation, ensure that the encryption driver appears in on the IPC.
-
In Task Manager, click the Open Services button in the lower part of the Services tab. Then, in the list, right-click Sentinel LDK License Manager, and select Start to restart the Sentinel LDK-EMS Service.
The above operations are performed based on Windows 10. If you are using a different version of the Window system such as Windows 11, perform the operations based on the actual interface.

The Online Activation Button Is Unresponsive

Symptom
When you are using a product key to activate the license, the Online Activation button is unresponsive.

Possible Cause
The URL corresponding to the Sentinel LDK-EMS Service is missing.

Solution
In the left-side navigation pane of the ACC page, choose . On the page that appears, set Network Visibility to All Network Adapters, and enter “https://license.mech-mind.com.cn:8443/” in the EMS URL section. Then, click Submit.
The Delivered HL Key Cannot Be Used Directly

Symptom
You cannot use the HL key that is delivered to you.

Possible Cause
The license in the HL key is empty.

Solution
Contact Mech-Mind sales team to obtain a product key, and activate the license again. Perform the following steps:

Plug the HL key into the USB port of the IPC.
-
Log on to the Entitlement Management System.
Go to Entitlement Management System, enter the product key, and click Log in.

Activate the license online.
On the page that appears, click Online Activation in the upper right corner. The license is now activated.
If you are unable to connect to the Internet, you can activate the license offline by using the V2C or V2CP file. Perform the following steps to activate the license offline:

Open the ACC page.

Error Occurs When Opening Software Remotely

Symptom
When attempting to open the encrypted software via remote control, the software fails to open and an error message pops up.

Possible Cause
Abnormal software license information is detected. Remote control access to open the software is not allowed.

Solution
Contact Mech-Mind sales team to update the software license.
