Adjust Laser Profiler Parameters Using Mech-Eye Viewer

Adjusting parameters such as Correction and Mask usually requires the assistance of visualized tools for several rounds of fine tuning. Since GenICam clients does not provide visualized tools, you can adjust these parameters using the visualized tools provided by Mech-Eye Viewer.

After adjusting these parameters using Mech-Eye Viewer, you can read the latest parameter values in a GenICam client directly.

Preparation

Before you adjust parameters in Mech-Eye Viewer, complete the following steps:

  1. Save the changes that you made in the GenICam client.

  2. Disconnect from the laser profiler in the GenICam client.

  3. Connect to the laser profiler in Mech-Eye Viewer.

  4. In the Parameters tab on the right of Mech-Eye Viewer, select a parameter group for saving the parameter values, or ,create a new parameter group.

Adjust Parameters

Please refer to the Parameter Reference topic of Mech-Eye Viewer for the instructions on adjusting each parameter.

It is recommended to adjust the following parameters using Mech-Eye Viewer:

Synchronize Parameter Values

After adjusting the parameters above in Mech-Eye Viewer, follow these steps to read the new parameter values in GenICam clients.

  1. In the Parameters tab on the right of Mech-Eye Viewer, click Save at the top to save the parameter values into the parameter group.

  2. Disconnect from the laser profiler in Mech-Eye Viewer.

  3. Connect to the laser profiler in the GenICam client.

  4. In the GenICam client, select and load the parameter group where the newest parameter values are saved with the UserSetSelector and UserSetLoad parameters.
