The purpose of improving application cycle time is to meet the project’s requirements for cycle time. Therefore, after deploying a 3D vision–guided robotic application, you should evaluate the current cycle time of the application. If the current application cycle time cannot meet the project’s requirements, you need to improve it.

The workflow of a typical 3D vision-guided application is shown below.

Application cycle time is the sum of the cycle time of each processing phase of a 3D vision–guided robotic application. Therefore, you can optimize the processing time for each phase, thus improving the overall cycle time of the application. The overall approach to improving application cycle time is shown in the figure below.
