Power control¶
In Mech-Mind Vision System, the main electrical equipment include: robots, Mech-Eye 3D cameras, IPC (Industrial Personal Computer), supplemental light sources, air sources, end effector and various sensors, signal lights, etc. The corresponding power supply requirements are as follows:
\(\bullet\) Robot: Most robots have strong electrical adaptability and can work in the voltage range of 200 - 600V or even greater. A few robots can only work with voltages around 220V.
\(\bullet\) Camera: When the Mech-Eye 3D camera is continuously working, the power consumption is about 120W and the voltage is 220V. The camera cable made by Mech-Mind must be used to ensure the stability of power supply and certain anti-interference ability. If the power supply system of the factory is unstable, a voltage regulator is required to ensure the voltage stability.
\(\bullet\) IPC (Industrial Personal Computer): The power consumption of the IPC is about 180W, and the voltage 220V.
\(\bullet\) Light source: The power consumption of the light source driver is about 60W, voltage 220V, it is powered by a 3-core power cord, and is 6000k white light source with adjustable brightness.
\(\bullet\) Air source: The power consumption of the air compressors is generally large, and the general power consumption is about 1000W, voltage: 220V.
\(\bullet\) Wiring: All wires are required to be classified and labeled, and the wires must be organized in the line slots to avoid to be exposed and prevent interference with peripheral AGVs and forklifts.
In order to prevent the power supply system from impacting voltage and other problems, a voltage regulator is required to provide power protection for the camera and IPC. If the environment on site has frequent power outages, in order to prevent accidents, it is recommended to add :green: UPS power supply to protect the regular operation of the entire system. If a sensor is required to be connected to the robot, since most robot I/O ports provide 12V power supply with a weak load capacity, it is not suitable for directly driving small electrical equipment such as sensors. It is recommended to configure a special 12V/5V DC power supply for providing the power.
