Exposure Assistant

This tool helps you obtain the optimal 3D scanning parameter settings. Click on Tools ‣ Exposure Assistant in the Menu Bar.

1. Click on Scan Once in the lower right, as shown below. Once a point cloud is displayed, click on Next Step.

   

2. Set 3D ROI: click and drag on the 2D image to manually select an ROI, or click on Auto Detection to let the software automatically select an ROI. Click on Reset to clear the selection. Then, click on Apply and Next Step.

   

   Note

   The diamensions of the ROI selected here are automatically filled to the Geometry parameter under 3D ROI.

3. Click on Start to obtain the optimal 3D scanning parameter settings.

   

4. When a point cloud is displayed, the exposure times have been automatically adjusted. Click on Finish, and then Yes in the pop-up window to apply the settings.
